I had the opportunity to spelunk around the Ontario Science Centre with BB-8 last month, not realizing it would be my last chance. The building is now closed to the public, effective yesterday, Friday, June 21.

Robotics Weekend at the @OntScienceCtr. Thank you for hosting the Ontario droid builders! This was one of my first events since applying a tonne of mods to my droid. The droid ran without critical failures for two full days.

I want to upgrade my droid frame, to mitigate dome decapitations, but that will require obtaining a 3d printer with a larger print volume. Testing a wire wrap tool I designed to fit between Testing a wire wrap tool I designed to fit between 2.54mm male headers and use 24 AWG stranded wire. #3dprinted in @esun3dprinting white PETG. Pleasantly surprised my printer could handle the single wall tower design and that it was durable enough to wrap the wire without snapping. I’m reworking an old project using wire wrap and soldering for durability.
